Site Guide

This site brings together the development of the Technologies for Rapid Response to Incidents and Climate Disasters – Tridecs project, a three-phase initiative focused on creating resilient, modular, and autonomous communication infrastructures. Its central goal is to document progress, share lessons learned, and organize knowledge in an accessible way to ensure communication remains functional even during the collapse of conventional infrastructure.

Tridecs is based on the principle that incident and climate disaster monitoring and prevention technologies must coexist with social resilience technologies capable of delivering rapid responses during crises. For this reason, this space organizes knowledge continuously and transparently, serving both those developing the project and those who wish to follow, learn from, or reuse parts of the solution with the goal of protecting lives.

The content is structured into four main areas, reflecting what was built and learned throughout the first year of execution.

Project Diary

The Project Diary works as a blog. It publishes continuous records of development, including experiments, errors, and strategy adjustments based on empirical evidence. During the first year, the focus was on diagnosing climate threats in Brazil and analyzing how communication failures worsen socio-environmental disasters.

In this section, you will find:

  • Scenario Mapping
  • Technology and Equipment Mapping
  • Experiments and Validation
  • Field Learnings

Documentation

The project documentation is organized according to the Diátaxis model, a methodology that separates technical content into four distinct functions.

  • Tutorials
  • How-to Guides
  • Explanations
  • Reference

Materials

The materials section brings together complementary documents that expand and support the content presented throughout the site.

Here you will find files such as:

  • Technical reports
  • Presentations
  • Supporting PDFs
  • Analytical documents
  • Materials produced during project development

These resources serve as reference sources, institutional records, and supporting material for exploring specific aspects of the project in greater depth.

Glossary

The glossary gathers definitions of the main terms used throughout the TRIDECS project, with the goal of reducing ambiguity and making the content easier to understand.

This section serves as ongoing support for navigating the site, helping make knowledge clearer, more shareable, and more usable across different contexts.
